Trump literally brags about taking away people’s free speech
This afternoon, Trump and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem held a moron convention at the White House, inviting a slew of fascist propagandists like Jack Posobiec (who was on Russian payroll) to discuss how the administration is going to crack down on “antifa.” When he wasn’t fighting sleep, Trump was waging war on our rights. While discussing flag-burning with a right-wing influencer, Trump directed Pam Bondi to “start prosecution” for flag-burning, which is a constitutionally protected right, and bragged about “taking the freedom of speech away.” "We took the freedom of speech away because that's been through the courts and the courts said you have freedom of speech, but what has happened is when they burn a flag it agitates and irritates crowds,” said Trump, in a statement that makes zero sense beyond his stated desire to take away OUR FREEDOM OF SPEECH. The rest of the conference was equally dangerous and stupid. Trump was asked whether or not he’d had any more thoughts on repealing our right to habeas corpus in order to arrest the antifa “insurrectionists” or fast-track deportations, and Trump answered “suspend who?” When the man repeated the phrase “habeas corpus,” Trump replied “I don’t know. I'd rather leave that to Kristi.” He doesn’t know what that is! He doesn’t fucking know what one of the most important rights that we as US citizens are afforded is! As evil as it is stupid, they are so arrogant they're openly saying the quiet part out loud for all of us to hear. They are building an excuse to take our rights away under the guise of an imaginary national enemy. It’s straight up fascism, and we must resist with every ounce of energy we can muster.

Trumpers launch SECRET ATTACK on our voting rights
While the nation is distracted by Trump's attacks on our cities and ICE's gratiutious acts of heinous violence, right-wingers are working behind the scenes to make it harder for Americans to vote! Over 200,000 comments have been submitted by Trumpers to the Election Assistance Commission urging them to increase the documentation requirements for Americans to register to vote! This will create more obstacles and make it harder for new voters to exercise their right to a political voice. We need YOU to go to the EAC website and submit a comment telling them NO, we DON'T want to make it harder for Americans to vote! You can submit your own comment, or if you don't feel like it, you can copy and paste this sample comment into the text box:
I’m against requiring citizens to submit a passport, birth certificate, or other citizenship documents to register to vote! Only half of American citizens have a passport and 69 million American citizens don’t have a birth certificate with their current legal name on it, most of them women who changed their names when they got married.
The deadline is October 20th, so we need all the comments we can get before it's too late! Click HERE to make your voice heard!
Trump calls for the arrest of Chicago mayor Brandon Johnson and Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker
In an early morning post on social media, Trump posted a demand for Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker to be imprisoned for doing every they can to resist his authoritarian attacks on their constituents. Specifically, he accused them of “failing to protect our ICE officers." What law they might have broken, why ICE might need protection from or why this merits imprisonment doesn’t matter; the all that matters is that they defied Trump, so he wants them in jail — because he wants to be a dictator and is acting like one. Johnson and Pritzker weren't having it; Johnson responded by saying "This president is unstable, unhinged, a double-minded individual that quite frankly is a threat to our democracy and it's certainly not the first time that Donald Trump has called for the arrest of a black man unjustly. I'm not going anywhere!" The governor echoed his words, saying "This guy is unhinged. He's insecure. He's a wannabe dictator. And there's one thing I really want to say to Donald Trump. If you come for my people, you come through me. So come and get me!" While Donald Trump makes threats like this which end up going nowhere all the time, it should not be missed that he is behaving exactly how a dictator would — and showing us how he would behave if he had absolute power.

Joy in Israel and Gaza after ceasefire announced
Under the deal, the biggest step towards peace yet, fighting will cease, Israel will partially withdraw from Gaza and Hamas will free hostages it captured in the attack that precipitated the war, in exchange for prisoners held by Israel. A source briefed on details of the agreement said Israeli troops would begin pulling back within 24 hours of the deal being signed. The release of all 20 Israeli hostages still believed to be alive in Gaza is expected on Sunday or Monday, an Israeli official said. Another 26 hostages have been declared dead in absentia and the fate of two is unknown. Hamas has indicated it may take time to recover bodies scattered across Gaza. "Thank God for the ceasefire, the end of bloodshed and killing," said Abdul Majeed Abd Rabbo in Khan Younis in southern Gaza. "I am not the only one happy, all of the Gaza Strip is happy, all the Arab people, all of the world is happy with the ceasefire and the end of bloodshed." The Gaza health ministry said at least nine Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire in the past 24 hours, a lower toll than typical in recent weeks as Israel carried out one of its biggest offensives of the war, an all-out assault on Gaza City.
Burning down the house: Milei plays rock star as Argentina economy crashes
Days after securing a $20 billion bailout from Trump for the economy he destroyed with his idiotic libertarian economic policies, Argentinia's crackpot president Javier Milei held a rock concert for HIMSELF to promote his new book. We're sure all the American soybean farmers facing bankruptcy from Trump's tariffs are super psyched to see our public funds being used to prop up this utter moron. It's all one big club, and you ain't in it.
Former FBI Director James Comey pleads not guilty to making false statements
Look, James Comey is guilty of a great many things, but lying to Congress is not one of them. This is so clearly Trump corrupting our justice system to punish his political enemies. and even more deviously, he's normalizing it by choosing targets who aren't particularly well-loved, like Iraq War architect John Bolton and James Comey, whom most of us are still mad at for getting Trump elected in the first place. But this is a very slippery slope, as he's already trying to do it against Democratic officials who have stood against him in the past, so what we wouldn't tolerate for Letitita James we can't tolerate for a different James.

Senate votes down War Powers resolution to stop Trump's boat bombings
Two Republicans, Rand Paul and Lisa Murkowski, joined with all the Democrats except John Fetterman (what is WITH this guy?) in favor of putting an end to Trump's indiscriminate bombing of alleged "drug boats" off the Venezeulan coast. Unfortunately, the measure still failed 51-49 as all of the other Republicans voted against it. Trump and Steven Miller, the heartless ghoul behind the boat explosion policy, are now free to continue murdering South American fishermen to their black hearts' content. On Wednesday, the President of Colombia announced that the most recent boat destroyed was Colombian and contained Colombian citizens, which the Trump administration denounced as a "baseless and reprehensible statement" despite having not produced ANY evidence whatsoever that any of the boats they've destroyed and the people they've murdered have been Venezeuelan or affiliated with drug running in any way. “Congress must not allow the executive branch to become judge, jury and executioner,” said Rand Paul, who for once in the BLUEST of moons is absolutely right. If we allow the Trump admin to establish a precedent of murdering foreign citizens without evidence just because they called them "terrorists," how long will it be before they start doing the same to anyone who resists them in America — who they also baselessly call "terrorists?"
Hakeem Jeffries outright accuses House Republicans of working to "cover up for the pedophiles"
At this point, it is impossible to argue that they're not.
White House officials admit Trump’s public screed against Pam Bondi was supposed to be private message
Not to be all "but her emails" but can you IMAGINE what Republicans would say if a Democrat was caught illegally conducting government policy on a ramshackle social media platform that they themselves owned?
Before Pete Hegseth joined Trump’s war on DEI, he advocated for educational equity as a Harvard student
The purest essence of being a Republican is abandoning every principle you've ever had the second it puts you closer to money or power.
