On Sunday, October 12, the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) turns 48! It's a moment to celebrate what CRA has achieved since 1977 - literally trillions in bank lending, investments and philanthropy directed to underserved communities all across America.

Will you join us?

Next Tuesday, October 14, NCRC will host a social storm all day across all social media platforms. We hope you and your organization can join us by sharing messages with your networks and on your social media channels.

CRA requires banks to meet the credit needs of all communities, including low- and moderate-income neighborhoods. NCRC and our members have used the law to negotiate community benefits agreements (CBAs) ([link removed] ) with 22 bank groups worth a combined $603.28 billion in loans, investments and philanthropy for affordable housing, small businesses, economic development and bank branches in low- and moderate-income neighborhoods and communities of color.
