The State of Black America® 2025 laid bare a truth we can no longer ignore: Black Americans have attained only 75.7% of the equality enjoyed by White Americans.

This is the Tale of Two Countries, a nation divided by economic apartheid, where entire communities are denied opportunity, stability, and security.

With federal funding cuts threatening our programs that serve 4 million people annually, we've declared a "State of Emergency." The National Urban League is on the frontlines: defending democracy in the courts, challenging attacks on civil rights, and building coalitions like the Fair Budget Coalition and Demand Diversity Roundtable.

But we cannot do it alone. Today, National DAF Day, is your moment to lead.
