Greetings fellow Teton County Democrats!
A quick message from our Chair:
Fall is here, and we hope you are enjoying all that this short, albeit beautiful time of year has to offer, whether it be leaf-peeping, short hikes, finding your cattle, prepping for winter activities or hunting for you and your family. Winter is on it's way, and we hope everyone is ready.

We will be holding some small, informal "Salon" sessions, on various topics throughout the winter. What topics would you like to discuss? Let us know by email or on social media.

Recently, we were in London and we joined the Anti-Trump protest.


As you may be aware, the Teton County Library is hosting a "Swap Meet" this October. These are informal talks, based on articles chosen by our elected officials. These are opportunities to have discussions on multiple topics, in an informal setting, We encourage everyone to attend. More information can be found here. ([link removed])
Shutdown information
As we all know, our Federal government shutdown is continuing. While our National Parks and National Forests are "open", many services are either unavailable or strongly curtailed. You can find more information about our National Park and Forest operations here ([link removed]) . Many employees are currently furloughed or facing a potential layoff situation. If you are one of these employees, or know someone who is, please contact us (email, social media) or your local radio station-KHOL ([link removed]) , Wyoming Public Radio ([link removed]) , Wyofile ([link removed]) , or any other outlet. We would like to document as much of the impact of this situation as possible. We encourage anyone impacted to also contact our elected officials at all levels.
Protest and Calling
Calling
As there is so much going on (honestly, hard to keep up!) we have been pushing the 5calls ([link removed]) app on our social media. This app enables you to call your senators and congresspeople, along with providing a script on specific issues. We encourage everyone to use it, your voice is stronger than you think.

On October 18th, we will be hosting along with Indivisible another No Kings Rally ([link removed]) on the Town Square, from 10 am to 12 pm. Join us! [link removed]
Op-Ed writing workshop
Recently, the Teton County Library held an op-ed writing workshop. Our chair, Annette, and many others, attended and learnt a lot. Interested in more? Here are the slides ([link removed]) from the presentation.
Housing, Transit, and the link between it all

Our friends at ShelterJH ([link removed]) recently held a great event regarding housing, transportation, and transit, and the link between it all. This event was well attended, and provided many good questions and answers. As a community, we must have discussions about everything that affects us, from wildlife to parking to housing. This discussion will be continued during the year, and we need everyone's input.
