Right now, we are on day 8 of a partisan government shutdown because Republicans are prioritizing tax cuts for billionaires over health care for millions of Americans.
Without Republicans coming to the negotiating table, insurance premiums could more than double next year.
But House Democrats are holding strong: we will not budge on health care.
I’m working tirelessly to end this shutdown with an agreement that protects affordable, accessible healthcare for all Americans.
In the face of a Republican leadership that would rather shut the government down than stand up to Donald Trump, I’ll never stop fighting to keep my constituents safe.
