Today, in the Capitol, we had an unexpected conversation with Mike Johnson about reopening the government and swearing in Adelita Grijalva.

Johnson didn’t want to have that conversation.

He didn’t want to talk about millions of people seeing their health insurance premiums doubling.

He didn’t want to talk about how he refuses to swear in our friend, Adelita Grijalva, after she won her election to the House.

And, of course, he tried to put the blame back on us — instead of on himself and Trump, where it should be.

That’s what we’ve come to expect right now, from a bunch of folks who’d rather shut down the government than help out the American people.

It doesn't have to be this way, but that’s where we’re at… and it’s a real shame.

But we’re not going to let up. Not a chance.
