“GOP districts take early lead in Virginia’s first week of early voting” Voters are casting their ballots in the 2025 election — and it’s not hyperbole to say that democracy hangs in the balance, John. The NDR PAC is leaving it all on the field — fighting to elect candidates like Abigail Spanberger for governor and a pro-democracy majority in the House of Delegates. Early voting runs through November 1, and early reports showed that Republican-leaning districts cast more ballots than Democratic-leaning districts. We need to reach every Virginia voter in this high-stakes election. But with early voting underway and new attempts to gerrymander states emerging seemingly every week, our resources have been spread thin.
The contrast Virginia voters are facing couldn’t be clearer. Abigail Spanberger served in the CIA and in Congress, earning a track record of fighting for electoral, labor, and reproductive rights. As governor, she’ll protect voting rights, strengthen public schools, lower health care costs, and make Virginia more affordable. On the other hand, her extreme MAGA opponent supports attacks on workers, public schools, and basic freedoms. And if we win big in Virginia, we could help expand voting rights even further in the state. Here’s how: 300,000 former felons who’ve served their time are not currently eligible to vote in the state because Virginia is one of only three states not to restore a person’s voting rights once their sentence is complete. Democrats advanced a bill to address this injustice — but we need the governor’s signature to make it law. The stakes couldn’t be higher in this pivotal election. In the final weeks of the 2025 election, help fight for democracy in key state-level elections. Chip in to fund the NDR PAC's work in key states across the country. Thank you, Brianna Shamsuddoha
