John,
There’s an old saying: if you want to test a man’s character, give him power. Donald Trump has failed that test again and again.
Sending the National Guard into Chicago isn’t leadership, it’s theater. It’s the reflex of a weak man who mistakes cruelty for strength and theatrics for substance. But just as troubling are those in public office, like Republican Brian Fitzpatrick, who continue to aid and abet Trump.
It’s clear that Brian Fitzpatrick has failed the character test too.
When he had the chance to lower healthcare costs for Pennsylvanians, he literally ran out of the room. When he had the chance to stop Trump’s terrible budget bill, he was the deciding vote to move it forward. He’s had chance after chance to stand up to Trump, but he hasn’t.
It’s time for a change. It’s time for leadership that believes running for office is about protecting and serving the people, not blind loyalty to Trump.
I’m running to put our community first and lower healthcare costs, strengthen the middle class, invest in our future, and restore the promise of the American Dream.
This district is one of the most winnable House seats for Democrats. But if we want to make it happen, we need the resources to organize and reach voters. Can you chip in $10 today?
