John,

The headlines out of Washington are all about the shutdown, but what’s getting far less attention is one of the most alarming abuses of power we’ve seen from the Trump regime.

Trump and his Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, told U.S. generals to treat cities like Chicago and Los Angeles as “training grounds” for our military -- as if our own communities were combat zones.

Our streets are being framed as battlegrounds against an “enemy within.” And any generals who refuse to go along with this plan risk being fired.

We’re already seeing troop movements in Los Angeles, Portland, and Chicago -- cities singled out by Trump himself.

This is real, John. It’s not another one of Trump’s wild exaggerations. This is part of a coordinated effort to normalize the militarization of American cities. And it comes just as Stephen Miller announced a sweeping new “law and order” initiative aimed at Democratic-led states.

I’ve confronted Pete Hegseth directly when he tried to use troops in Los Angeles before, and I’ll use every tool at my disposal, legal and legislative, to stop Trump from turning our neighborhoods into military zones.

But I can’t do it alone.

Add your name to make it clear: our troops defend the Constitution -- they don’t police our cities. Then spread the word. Share this message. Talk about it. Make noise.

The more Americans who speak out, the harder it becomes for Trump and Hegseth to turn our cities into battlegrounds.
