I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but… I agree with Marjorie Taylor Greene. Here’s why.
You’ve been hearing about how healthcare costs are about to skyrocket for people who get insurance from the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
When President Obama signed the ACA into law, it made healthcare more affordable for millions of families. Over the years, Congress has continually expanded ACA tax credits — lowering costs and helping people stay covered during tough times.
But now those tax credits are set to expire at the end of the year. MAGA Republicans are refusing to pass an extension, and that means families will start getting notices soon that their premiums are going to double in January.
Healthcare is personal to me. My brother was born with a pre-existing condition and when our Congressman voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act, I decided to run against him and won.
Here’s where it gets wild: Even Marjorie Taylor Greene agrees with me. She said last night that letting these tax credits expire is a bad idea. I had to re-read her statement a few times because I was so shocked.
You are receiving this email because Congressman Josh Harder is one of our last lines of defense to protect our democracy against MAGA extremists like Donald Trump and Marjorie Taylor Greene.
