Below, you’ll find details on my free Inclusive Post-High School Resource Fair with The Arc Alliance on January 25, my office hours for the upcoming holiday, key election dates, road work news, and more! As always, I hope you find the information below useful. | Important Updates/Highlights | Inclusive Post-High School Resource Fair | I’m proud to announce that I’m partnering with The Arc Alliance and a team of local volunteers to bring a FREE Inclusive Post-High School Resource Fair to Hall A of the Greater Philadelphia Expo in Oaks on Sunday, January 25th from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. We are seeking vendors for this event and interested parties can apply here. Ideal vendors currently serve high school students with IEPs and 504 plans and offer post‑secondary opportunities such as employment, internships, apprenticeships, transitional services, continuing education, or supported living programs. A comprehensive list can be found below. - Post-Secondary Education: Institutes that offer Higher Education programs for IDD/A
- Inclusive Employment: Employers championing IDD/A hiring practices
- Supported Employment: Organizations that provide job coaching, job finding, and job skill development
- Transition & Life Skills: Programs developing social, independent living, and vocational skills
- Arts & Recreational: Programs providing opportunities in arts and recreation.
- Social and Community: Programs fostering social connections
- Legal & Financial Planning: Organizations that support financial planning and benefits management
- Community Supports: Providers who work with individuals to involve them in the community
- Day Programs: Programs offering opportunities for social interaction, skill development, & activities
- Residential Programs: Community living arrangement with 24/7 staff to support
- Self-Advocacy Groups: Groups led by individuals with IDD/A to empower others with IDD/A

Don’t miss your chance to make your voice heard. Register now at vote.pa.gov/Register | West Norriton Pedestrian Improvements | I want to offer my congratulations to West Norriton Township for receiving a $156k grant from the Montco 2040 Implementation Grant Program, which supports local projects that connect communities, develop sustainable places and foster a vibrant economy. West Norriton resident Sean Golas identified the need for pedestrian safety improvements along Boulevard of the Generals and presented the proposal to the West Norriton Township Board of Commissioners. With the grant money, the township plans to install ADA compliant curb ramps, a bus shelter and landing area for the nearby SEPTA Route 131 bus stop, a crosswalk and a median island. Thank you to Sean and to West Norriton for advocating for these improvements that make our community a safer place to travel! You can read more here | Construction at Crawford Rd/Eagleville Rd/Park Ave Intersection | After receiving questions about the construction at the intersection of Crawford Rd/Eagleville Road/Park Avenue in Lower Providence, I have a timeline update. Currently, water relocation will begin in November/December, then sanitary sewer relocation in January/February and road construction in March/April. Lane restrictions may take place during this time period, but detours are not expected during the utility work. As always, please remain vigilant when crews begin working for your safety as well as for the safety of the road workers. | America250 Check Presentations | On Monday, Michael represented our office at the America 250PA check presentations for Historic Trappe and Friends of Valley Forge (Valley Forge Park Alliance). These grants will help support projects in preparation for the 250th anniversary of the United States. Historic Trappe received $20,000 to help with the continued restoration efforts of The Speaker’s House, and Friends of Valley Forge received $10,000 to assist with Valley Forge 250 festivities. Marshall Street, Jeffersonville, PA | Collegeville Parks Master Plan | Collegeville Borough and the Montgomery County Planning Commission will be hosting an open house on tonight, Oct. 8, between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. at Collegeville Fire Company (29 E. 5th Avenue, Collegeville, PA). The meeting will discuss Collegeville Borough’s parks and open spaces while allowing for community suggestions on improvements to Collegeville Community Park, Water Works Park, Hunsberger Woods and Creekside Park. | Wills, Deeds & Peace of Mind | Tomorrow, Oct. 9, Montgomery County Coroner Dr. Janine Darby, Recorder of Deeds Jeanne Sorg and Register of Wills Tina Lawson Esq. are coming together to bring you Wills, Deeds and Peace of Mind, an event designed to help you plan for the future and navigating an unexpected life event. We take this day to not only recognize the contributions the Indigenous peoples of America have made throughout history, such as pain relievers, kayaks and lacrosse, but we also honor their culture. It’s also important to acknowledge their perseverance as a people while they faced unimaginable persecution. In this reflection, we need to support a future that’s accepting and unites us all, not one that divides and pins us against each other. As a reminder, my office will be closed on Monday, October 13. Domestic violence impacts millions of people every year in our country, and as we continue to work to end it, I want to remind everyone that help is available.
