If you have this type of health insurance, you will soon receive information on renewal. Republicans in Congress are refusing to extend the health care tax credits that keep premiums low for individuals covered under the Affordable Care Act, which will send YOUR PREMIUMS soaring.
22,000 people in our community will see their health care costs increase if Republicans allow these vital health care tax credits to expire.
- For a 60-year-old couple earning $82,000 a year, annual premiums will increase by $13,783 or 286%.
- For a family of four earning $64,000 a year, annual premiums will increase by $2,143.
- For a family of four earning $129,800 a year, annual premiums will increase by $6,174 or 67%.
47,222 people in CA-44 will lose their health coverage entirely because of reckless Republican cuts to Medicaid (know as Medi-Cal in California) and the Affordable Care Act.
