Dear John,
I have devoted my adult life to caring for patients at their worst moment in the emergency department. I have seen what happens when we fail to make healthcare affordable and accessible - people die.
Last week and this week show better than any others the difference between healthcare policies that hurt people and those that help. In DC, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is firing scientists at NIH and making it harder to receive vaccines. Donald Trump has cut Medicaid and not renewed tax credits, jeopardizing the healthcare coverage of millions of Americans.
In contrast, this week, my bills to protect insurance coverage of vaccines and make sure they remain available in pharmacies in Pennsylvania passed out of two House committees. My fellow State House Democrats continue to fight to fully fund Medicaid in our state budget.
Simply put, whom we elect matters. As our only physician-legislator, I fight every day for more affordable and accessible healthcare. But I cannot do this alone. Can you contribute what you can to help me continue to successfully champion policies to protect our health? [[link removed]]
