*FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE*

*Governor Gordon Appoints Karl Anderson to Board of Equalization *

*CHEYENNE, Wyo, October 8, 2025 * - Governor Mark Gordon (R-WY) has appointed Karl Anderson to the Board of Equalization, effective October 20. Anderson replaces Dave Delicath, who retired on May 2.

“I want to thank Dave for his years of service to the state. He did an outstanding job,” Governor Gordon said. “Wyoming citizens will now be served well by Karl Anderson, who brings a depth of legal and financial knowledge and experience to the Board of Equalization. Karl is an excellent fit.”

The Board of Equalization (BOE) is responsible for the equalization of valuation on all property in Wyoming’s counties, hearing disputes between taxpayers and the Department of Revenue. BOE also  reviews appeals from decisions of county boards of equalization that settle disputes between individual taxpayers and  county assessors.

Anderson has served in the Civil Division of the Wyoming State Attorney General’s office since 1999. As a Supervising Attorney General, he has represented the Department of Revenue and Audit in numerous tax appeals before the State Board of Equalization, various District Courts, and the Wyoming Supreme Court.  He also provided legal expertise, analysis and research to the Department of Revenue directors and personnel on such things as the implementation and administration of excise, ad valorem and mineral taxes as well as other duties.

Anderson graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Finance and earned his JD from the University of Wyoming College of Law.

“It is an honor to have this opportunity to serve the people of Wyoming,” Anderson said.  “I look forward to continuing to work on taxation issues in Wyoming.”
