Hello John,

Today is Labour’s birthday and it’s a big one!

104 years ago, unions, trade councils and early progressive political movements came together to form our Party. For the first time, New Zealand had a united movement that was able to advocate for workers' rights, social justice and a more equal and fair New Zealand.

To celebrate, the 17th Leader of our Party and our 10th Labour Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, recorded a birthday message highlighting just a few of the things our movement has achieved over the years. You can watch the video below.

Watch Jacinda's video <[link removed]>This election we are campaigning our hearts out to make sure we secure a second term for Labour so the team can continue building on our achievements and our legacy and keep New Zealand moving as we rebuild together.

We now have under eleven weeks before election day and I know I speak for the whole team when I say we are grateful to have so many people lending their energy, support and time to our movement.

Thank you.

Claire Szabó
