Join us for the FINAL virtual Site Visit Series session, spotlighting our Guatemalan partners, Asociación Manos Abiertas [[link removed]] (AMA)!
Founded in 2008, AMA delivers holistic, rights-based reproductive health care to vulnerable populations in Guatemala. Over the last 17 years, AMA has grown to employ an all-women team of midwives and nurses, many of whom are of Mayan descent. Often, AMA staff are the first in their families to complete a formal education; some have achieved this while working at Manos.
During the webinar, we will learn more about our Senior Analyst, Hannah Evan’s, site visit to AMA’s headquarters [[link removed]] . Hannah will outline demographic trends of Guatemala, share reflections from her visit, and highlight impact statements from program participants.
AMA’s Executive Director, Diana Friewald, will then join us to dive deeper into the organization’s programs, community impacts, and future goals. Additionally, Hannah and Diana will answer questions submitted by audience members during the Q&A session.
