We are fighting to protect healthcare for millions of families. Democrats are fighting to extend the Affordable Care Act subsidies and reverse the Medicaid cuts.

Instead of fixing a broken system, protecting healthcare, and restoring the public’s trust in government, Republicans are responsible for shutting down the government and throwing the country into chaos.  

Why? Because they’re protecting the massive tax giveaways they passed for their rich friends, corporations and billionaires. The very politicians responsible for this crisis continue protecting healthcare cuts they made to pay for Trump’s tax breaks for the ultra-rich. 

But we don’t have to accept this as normal. Today, we’re holding an urgent town hall with House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi, ECU President Tiffany Muller, and Democratic members of Congress to bring people together, share more information about the shutdown and its impact on our communities, and how to demand real action and accountability.
