Women’s Organizations Condemn Jack Ciattarelli Video

Today, women’s organizations across New Jersey are outraged by a newly surfaced video ([link removed]) of Republican Gubernatorial Candidate Jack Ciattarelli summarizing a conversation with President Trump, where the Democratic nominee was referred to by a derogatory term. Mutual respect remains the foundation of civic discourse, and Jack’s gleeful recap of his conversation with the President demonstrates just the kind of leader he will be if he becomes Governor. His actions send a chilling message to every woman who dares to lead or to serve her community. We admonish Jack’s behavior in the strongest terms.

PAM’s List

“The video portrays what we already know, President Trump and Jack Ciattarelli are cut from the same cloth. Jack proudly flouting the President’s vulgar and foul language is not only offensive to Mikie Sherrill but all New Jersey women. We are disgusted by his actions and call for an apology.”

Latina Civic PAC

Laura Matos, Chair

“I would hope the blank in MAGA Jack’s podium stand-up routine is for “honorable veteran” or “qualified former prosecutor,” but that is not the world in which we live. If you needed any reinforcement to understand how deep in our misogynistic Commander-in-Chief’s pocket MAGA Jack is, please just listen to him. The blank he left for a laugh speaks volumes.”

Senator Teresa Ruiz

NJ Senate Majority Leader

“Jack, finish the sentence please! We know you were talking to President Trump, and we can infer the word…It is unfortunate that you have joined in this kind of callous, classless behavior that has no place in public life. His decision to refer to a woman using a derogatory slur isn’t just a lapse in judgment—it’s a window into how he views women, and it reflects a pattern of conduct that has become all too familiar in the era of Donald Trump.

Language matters. When candidates and public figures use words meant to degrade or demean women, they send a clear message that disrespect is acceptable and that misogyny can be brushed aside as “a joke.” It cannot. Women lead in our schools, our small businesses, our hospitals, our police departments, and our families. They deserve respect, not ridicule. They deserve a governor who will stand up for equality, not someone who laughs along with sexist slurs.

This latest episode reveals not only a lack of character but also a dangerous normalization of behavior that disrespects women and weakens our politics. Leadership begins with example. True leadership is about integrity, empathy, and respect."

New Jersey Black Women’s Collective

Assemblywoman Tennille McCoy, President

“At the New Jersey Black Women’s Collective, we stand united in our commitment to empowering women and fostering respect in all spheres of life. As professional women, leaders, and community servants, we deserve to be acknowledged for our contributions and treated with dignity. Language that demeans women undermines our progress and the values we uphold. We are proud of our roles as mothers, leaders, and advocates, and we will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that all women are respected and valued for their capabilities.”

Elect Women NJ

“We’ll finish his sentence: you gotta beat this misogyny. Women in politics have been battle tested for generations and we’re not backing down now. In New Jersey, we don’t take marching orders from men who fear strong women. We lead. Imitating the cruelty of a national figure doesn’t make you strong, it makes you small. New Jersey women write our own orders, and they start with electing Mikie Sherrill.”

Maria’s Women United

Lauren Greenwald

“Leadership means setting a higher standard, not sinking to new lows. Comments that degrade women for applause are more than careless - they reflect a troubling mindset. New Jersey deserves leaders who lift people up, not tear them down. Maria’s Women United calls for accountability and respect. Words matter and so does the courage to correct them. We hope Mr. Ciattarelli has the courage to retract his statement.”

A Coalition of Black Women

“This clip demonstrates what we already know about Jack Ciattarelli. He is 100% MAGA and fully aligned with all of Trump‘s disgraceful misogynistic behavior. This is one of the many reasons women throughout NJ must ensure we vote for Mikie Sherrill.”

New Jersey Federation of Democratic Women

“The New Jersey Federation of Democratic Women (NJFDW) stands united in condemning the misogynistic language by Jack Ciattarelli. Words matter. And when those words are spoken by any man, especially one running for Governor, he reveals not only his character but his unfitness to lead New Jersey - a state where women are the backbone of our communities, our economy, and our democracy.

NJFDW represents thousands of women across New Jersey who are organizing, advocating, and voting to build a more just and inclusive future. We will not be silenced and we will not be quiet.

This election is not just about policies, it’s about values. NJFDW will continue to fight for candidates who respect women, champion equality, and reflect the dignity every New Jerseyan deserves.”

Assemblywoman Shavonda Sumter

“We will not tolerate, excuse, or entertain dangerous rhetoric directed toward women. The women of the great state of New Jersey are courageous, steadfast, and will not be silenced or disrespected. They deserve a leader who values their voices, prioritizes their needs, and refuses to use them as pawns for political gain or pandering to misogynistic agendas.”

Senator Linda Greenstein

“I am shocked and alarmed at the misogynistic and hateful speech coming from the mouth of Jack Ciattarelli. We are unfortunate to have a President who speaks and thinks this way; we don't need a Governor who does so as well.”
