Israel has hit a historic milestone: its population has surged past 10 million for the first time.
It’s a twelvefold jump since the nation’s founding in 1948.
Nearly half of the world’s Jews now call Israel home, with 77.6% of the country’s 10.1 million residents identifying as Jewish or “other.”
And about 20.9% are Arab citizens — Muslim, Christian, or Druze — illustrating the Mediterranean county’s multi-religious population.
