John,

We need your help ensuring the Trump administration does not open the door for domestic abusers or others with violent criminal convictions to regain access to firearms.

Right now, Trump’s Department of Justice (DOJ) is moving forward on a measure that, if weakened, could allow convicted domestic abusers — as well as gun traffickers and even people with histories of violent hate crimes — to get their gun rights restored. This could have deadly consequences.

Lives are on the line, John — and that's why we need advocates like you to weigh in: Please act NOW before the deadline in just 13 days. [[link removed]]

The new measure could also be easily corrupted to benefit President Trump’s friends and allies. Already, actor Mel Gibson, a convicted domestic abuser, had his gun rights restored by President Trump, as did violent insurrectionists who stormed the U.S. Capitol on January 6.

Guns are already the number one cause of death for American children. We need to ensure that dangerous people who are banned from owning them do NOT regain access to firearms.

The NRA and gun industry are flooding the DOJ with comments in support of this dangerous new measure. So, please, John, make your voice heard before it’s too late!
