Dear John,

In vitro fertilization (IVF) is an essential pathway for building families. Yet it remains out of reach for many due to systemic barriers such as high costs, restrictive laws and policies, lack of information, and legal obstacles. These challenges disproportionately affect communities of color, low-income individuals, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ families.

As a state legislator, you hold the power to make a transformative difference. By enacting inclusive insurance laws and modernizing parentage laws, you can ensure equitable access to IVF and other fertility health care for all families, regardless of their socioeconomic background or identity. Moreover, as conservative efforts to limit access to IVF and other forms of fertility health care intensify and threaten the families it helps create, your leadership is crucial to safeguarding the rights of your constituents and protecting their ability to build families in ways that reflect their values and needs.

We invite you to join us for a timely and impactful discussion on how state legislators can take action to advance policies that:
* Expand access to IVF and other fertility health care
* Strengthen legal protections for families created through fertility health care
* Combat emerging threats to reproductive rights and family-building options

Date: Wednesday, October 15, 2025
Time: 3:00–4:15pm ET

Featuring:
* Melissa Madera, Senior Associate of Research & Education, Reproductive Rights, State Innovation Exchange (SiX)
* Karla Torres, Senior Counsel, Center for Reproductive Rights
* Rhode Island State Senator Tiara Mack
* Leah Jones, Director of Maternal Health & Birth Equity, SisterSong Women of Color Reproductive Justice Collective
* Polly Crozier, Director of Family Advocacy, GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders (GLAD Law)
* Meg York, LGBTQ+ Family Law Attorney

This is a critical opportunity to hear from leading experts, connect with colleagues from across the nation, and learn about actionable steps to advocate for policies that support reproductive justice for all families.
