 John, we have a real opportunity to consign the Conservative Party to the history books once and for all.
At last year’s historic General Election we took swathes of seats from the Conservatives, and this year, our record-breaking gains at the local elections meant we overtook them to run more councils - winning more seats than both them and Labour for the first time ever.
Every win grows voter confidence in our movement - yesterday a YouGov poll had us drawing level with the Conservatives, and this week polling expert Sir John Curtis said that we will ‘undoubtedly’ win more seats than them at the next General Election.

| But we cannot just rely on the Conservatives to continue to self-destruct.
Unlike them, we will never take voters for granted. That means continuing to do what we do best - campaigning hard, listening to voters and delivering for our communities.
We will stand strong where others back down. We will not pander to Reform. We will fight to protect our environment, stand up for decency and the rule of law, and stop Trump’s America from becoming Farage’s Britain.
