John --

Amazing news to share!

The U.S. Supreme Court just denied the last-ditch emergency appeal from TransCanada / TC Energy and the Trump administration -- meaning construction of the Keystone XL pipeline across waterways remains prohibited! [1]

The case, which Bold Alliance is a co-plaintiff, now moves forward on the merits and our challenge to the rubber-stamp, fast-track "Nationwide Permit 12" system will go on while TransCanada lacks a crucial permit that puts the future of the KXL project in serious doubt.

But even despite this huge obstacle, TransCanada continues to plow ahead with plans to construct KXL during the coronavirus pandemic, with applications pending in several Nebraska counties for various permits, and moving pipe into storage yards.

Meanwhile, landowners are facing upcoming court dates this month in their challenges to TransCanada's eminent domain claims to seize their land for the pipeline.

We should all take a moment today to celebrate, and thank the attorneys on our case as well as everyone involved in the ten year-plus battle to stop Keystone XL.

There is other great Pipeline Fighter news to celebrate already this week as well!

Standing Rock won a victory today, when a court ordered the Dakota Access pipeline temporarily shut down while an environmental review continues, and backers of the proposed Atlantic Coast fracked gas pipeline cancelled the project in the face of challenges from landowners and environmental groups.

Bold will continue to support landowners fighting eminent domain in the courts, and who are challenging TransCanada's continued efforts to obtain permits and push forward with KXL, even during a pandemic and despite our victory today at the Supreme Court.

Thanks for standing with us.
