Texas guardsmen didn’t sign up to used as political weapon

Last night, members of the Texas National Guard arrived in Chicago after being deployed by Trump and Greg Abbott — against the wishes of the state, the city, and the people of Chicago.
And reporting suggests Texas troops may be deployed to other states at Trump’s discretion.
Friend, Texans did not sign up for the National Guard to be used as political weapons against their fellow citizens.
This alarming and illegal weaponization of our state’s National Guard MUST be stopped – before it’s too late.
That’s why yesterday I led my colleagues in the Texas delegation in an official letter to Greg Abbott demanding that he stand up to Trump and bring back the Texas National Guard.
