* I grew up in a blue-collar family, went to college on the GI Bill after serving in the U.S. Navy, and served 19 years in the Air Force JAG Corps, retiring as a Lt. Colonel.
* I’ve used my legal and military experience to teach at the Air Force Academy, not to get rich on K Street.
* And until recently, my job was a Wind Cave National Park Ranger, living and serving in Hot Springs.

I know $10 might not seem like a game-changer when my opponent, Senator Rounds, is backed by corporate PACs he can count on to pour millions into South Dakota.

But what the establishment really fears is proof of widespread, grassroots support. They hate seeing thousands of everyday people chip in, because that means their money can't buy this seat.

I’ve taken on the establishment before. I stood against the political purges that targeted dedicated public servants, such as park rangers, and stood up for the integrity of our national institutions. I'm not afraid of the fight, and I am not for sale.
