In the 2018 election, outside groups spent more than $3 million against Abigail – flooding the airwaves with bogus attack ads and using every trick in the book to attack her record and her character.

In 2019, GOP groups spent almost $1 million against Abigail on TV, and they have already reserved another $2 million for TV reservations this fall.

National Republican groups and super PACs have made it crystal clear: this race is one of their top priorities.

The GOP knows that they’re coming from a position of weakness, so instead of running on the issues that matter to the people of Central Virginia, they’re going to attack Abigail any chance they can get.

But despite these impending attacks, Abigail and our campaign are staying laser-focused. Every day, we are talking to the people of VA-07 about what they care about most. We’re organizing on the ground, and we’re running a campaign of integrity.

But we know that we will need to be able to defend ourselves loudly and clearly once the attacks start. We need to make sure Abigail’s message of unity and solutions rises above the noise of the fray.
