John,

The past few weeks have been filled with protests all over the district. By this point, I’m pretty sure I’ve marched across the whole city & county. But last night, things took a turn for us.

For weeks now, the Florissant Police Department has violently cracked down on protestors—even amid nationwide outcry against police brutality. Why? Simply because we demand they change their racist ways and fire police officers involved in the latest assault on an innocent person.

Last night, we protested. Last night, we were non-violent.

Last night, they weren’t.

They maced me in the face for intervening while they beat a woman lying on the ground. Because of it, my skin is STILL now on fire. But I'll take this heat any day if it means we get one step closer to freedom.

The stakes are high and the risks are very real for my community. I can’t spend my time fundraising because I need to show up in the streets. That’s why I'm asking for your support today.

I'm running for Congress because I already AM the people I serve. But I can't get there alone. Will you stand with me and invest in St. Louis today?

In Solidarity,

Cori Bush
