Our thoughts are with the Israeli people who are grieving the loss of their loved ones and fighting to free the remaining 48 hostages still in captivity.
It is critical for us in this moment to do what we can by continuing to urge members of Congress to publicly pressure Hamas to accept the Gaza peace plan, which is supported by the United States, Israel, and several Arab countries.

This plan is a direct byproduct of the tremendous progress of Israel’s military operation in Gaza to degrade Hamas’ capabilities. Congressional support for our democratic ally has been instrumental throughout this war, including by passing the largest military aid package in Israel’s history, and we applaud the Democrats and Republicans who have been consistent and unequivocal in their demands for Hamas to free the hostages and give up power in Gaza.

The United States must continue to stand with Israel and increase the pressure on Hamas and its sponsors in Qatar, Turkey and Iran to free all the hostages and accept the U.S. peace plan.
