Dear John,
When my mom was first diagnosed with Parkinson's, our family
was scared. We didn't know what to expect and felt a deep sense
of helplessness. The scariest thing in life is uncertainty.
I watched my mom leave her job, stop driving, and limit her travel
and socializing. But despite all these challenges, she continued to
be the devoted mother and loving wife we have always known.
There are so many people in our community facing the challenges my
mom has, it's why research is so important.
You've been a pillar of support every step of the way.
Together, we can fund the next big breakthrough.
2X your gift!

What struck me the most was watching my mom redefine the way she
operated and the person she was. She found strength in the little
things in life-stretching, exercising, and even taking up
boxing. She learned to speak openly about her mental health and
walked away from any negativity she faced. She didn't allow
Parkinson's to define her, and rather found a way to rebel
against it by being true to herself.
My mom shared her story with you earlier this week, but what she
didn't mention is how this campaign represents everything our
family believes in-that bold action creates change. This not
only changed her own life despite her limitations, but led us to
celebrate the privilege we have to support the strongest woman in our
lives.
John, now
it's your turn to support change with a gift today.

The researchers we're supporting today have the nerve to
believe that we can fund the answers our community deserves.
They're working on breakthroughs that could spare other
families the fear and uncertainty we experienced.
Through Parkinson Canada, we've accessed the care my mom needed
and the valuable information that helped us support her in living a
beautiful life. Now it's time to fund the research that could
change everything for future families. Your gift will be doubled
thanks to a generous match from the estate of Judy Hazlett.
That's twice the impact when you give today.
We have 48 hours to show these researchers that Canada's
Parkinson's community has the same nerve. Don't let this
moment pass.
Thank you, on behalf of our community,
Kyle Pereira
Son of Mylene, who lives with Parkinson's
