Hi friend,
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and we want to take a moment to honor and uplift the voices of survivors. We recognize that many survivors continue to suffer in silence — often feeling unseen and unheard — and we stand united in reminding them that they are not alone.
Every year, more than 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men experience physical violence, sexual violence, or stalking by an intimate partner. These numbers reflect more than statistics — they represent our friends, families, and communities.
Together, we can create spaces of safety, support, and healing.
To support you and those you care about, we’ve developed a Domestic Violence Awareness Toolkit — filled with valuable resources, self-care tips, and materials to share with others in your community. You can access the toolkit by clicking here [[link removed]] .
We also invite you to join other survivors in healing this month:
* ( Register Here [[link removed]] ) Happening TODAY: Wellness Wednesday – Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 1:00 PM EST / 12:00 PM CST
* ( Register Here [[link removed]] ) Virtual Healing Space – Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 7:00 PM EST / 6:00 PM CST
Thank you for being part of this community and for continuing to stand for healing, safety, and justice.
When Survivors Speak, Change Happens.
We are also proud to share an exciting new chapter in our journey: our program name is transitioning from Crime Survivors for Safety and Justice to Crime Survivors Speak. Be on the lookout for our new look and feel.
Our work and community have grown, and today our name and look grow along with them. While our name is changing, our heart remains the same. Thank you for being the most important part of our story.
