The effects could be widespread. FEMA could be unable to respond to weather disasters such as hurricanes and fires. With the EPA halting oversight, communities could be exposed to contaminated drinking water and unhealthy air. Critical reviews of dangerous chemicals could cease, and jobs could be cut in Red and Blue states alike.
