This week, we have to stop the Democrats from keeping Americans home instead of helping them get back to work, and we need to share President Trump’s Independence Day speech to fight the media’s lies about it. Lastly, keep sharing The Second Opinion Project and the interviews from doctors.
No on Supplemental Unemployment Payments & Yes on a Payroll Tax Suspension Nancy Pelosi wants her $3 trillion spending spree to happen, including a six-month extension of the $600-a-week supplemental unemployment payment, which are scheduled to end July 31.
President Trump, on the other hand, supports a payroll tax suspension. They will begin negotiations soon, and we must stand firm against extending the supplemental unemployment payments. While we understand there are so many families that have been plunged into joblessness, anxiety, and uncertainty because of the lockdowns, but we also know that he best thing for all Americans, including the unemployed, is to get back to work as quickly as possible.
Nancy Pelosi’s proposal of extending the supplemental payments will pay people more to sit at home than go back to work. The payroll tax suspension will do the opposite. It will be easier for employers to bring their employees back, and employees will basically get a raise when they come back. Additionally, in homes where one person is employed and one is not, getting that payroll tax suspension (raise) will help everyone.
We know that the Democrats want to keep the country’s economy on life support because they care more about winning elections than they do about the future of the nation, or about individual families that need to get back to work. This is one way they can achieve that goal.
This Wall Street Journal article (which is behind a paywall) by Steve Moore and Casey Mulligan discuss these two options in detail. Here is their summary: The difference between Mr. Trump’s and Mrs. Pelosi’s approaches is a swing of almost 13 million jobs—more than the entire workforces of Indiana, Michigan and Ohio combined. If the goal of a Phase 4 stimulus plan is to encourage economic growth and put Americans back to work, the wise choice is the payroll tax cut. It isn’t even a close call. “It isn’t even a close call.”
So, let’s get to work this week to oppose Pelosi’s scheme to pay people to stay home from work, and support the President’s plan to get Americans back to work and give them a raise. See the action items below to make it happen.
Call & email your Representative and both of your Senators It doesn’t matter if your Rep. or your Senators are Republicans or Democrats. The same message goes to all of them.
Share President Trump’s Independence Day Speech Like the good little Democrat party foot soldiers they are, the mainstream media went insane after President Trump’s 4th of July speech. One of the most uplifting, beautiful, patriotic speeches sent them howling with rage, so they did what they usually do, and they lied about it being “dark” and “divisive.”
We need to ensure that Americans watch it or read it for themselves, rather than believing the headlines. Share his speech over social media, email it, text it, etc. Send it and share it in as many ways as you can! Just copy and paste the links to share them.
Continue to share The Second Opinion Project Please keep sharing the website, the videos, petitions, and letters, which can all be found at: https://www.secondopinionproject.com
Note about sharing links: We’ve heard from some of you that you are not on any social media and so you can’t share videos and petitions and other items. I just wanted to assure you that if you share links over email to your friends and family, it is just as effective and important as sharing on social media. We are going to make it easier for those of you who are only sharing over email to copy and paste the link into an email. Sometimes we will specifically need a social media post to be shared, and for those action items, if you do not do social media, you can simply copy and paste the link for those posts into an email. At the end of the day, we are just so thankful for whatever actions you are able to take. Thank you! In liberty,
