Dear John,
When Langston Hughes asked that question in his seminal poem, "Harlem," he spoke for many of us living on the margins who have found ourselves grappling with this very question about the possibilities for ourselves, our families, and our country.
But we're not going to let our dreams be deferred any longer. We're forging the path to a new American Dream with our October activations, and it's time to step it up. Are you with us?
This month—and beyond—we're planning pop-up activations across the country to hear from the community, mobilize, inspire, and build collective power, because abortion justice demands bold action. Next year, Virginia has the chance to enshrine abortion access into their state constitution, but only if a favorable legislature gets them there. Also, California can lead the way to taking back the House in a special election that will redraw district lines to thwart gerrymandering.
We can't wait until the midterms to take action. We need to do it now, and we hope you'll join us.
