John –
One week ago, Republicans in Congress shut down the government. This isn’t just politics in Washington, D.C. – it’s a direct attack on affordable health care.
Republicans have refused to extend the Affordable Care Act (ACA) tax credits, which means millions of families could see their health care costs skyrocket.
They’re prioritizing tax cuts for the wealthy while taking away care from hardworking Americans.
Here in the South Sound, that means real consequences: rising costs for families already stretched thin, uncertainty for veterans and federal workers, and threats to the hospitals and community clinics we all rely on.
I know a shutdown creates real anxiety at home. That’s why I want to hear directly from you about how this is affecting you and your family. Please take a moment to share your thoughts →
Democrats are ready to reopen the government and protect affordable health care. We will not rubber-stamp a plan that takes care away from millions and puts working families last.
I’ll keep fighting for a government that’s safe, just, and secure – for all of us.
Thank you for sharing your concerns.
