The Closed Primaries Lawsuit.
Dear Friends,
Recently, I had the privilege of standing with courageous students from Stratford High School who started a Turning Point USA Club America chapter at their school. A local democrat attempted to interfere with this chapter by publicly identifying teacher sponsors and intimidating them from “sponsoring a club that will sow division and hate among our students.” Unbelievably, this woman, the vice president of a local Houston democrat club, voted in the 2024 Republican primary. This is exactly why Texas Republicans voted to close the primary at the 2024 state convention. Republicans should select our Republican nominees.
After the Texas Legislature failed to take action, on September 4, 2025, the Republican Party of Texas filed a lawsuit to close our primary elections. With taxpayer dollars, the Texas Secretary of State has hired expensive out-of-state lawyers to oppose our claims.
Today, please make a special contribution to the Republican Party of Texas to support our effort to close our primary elections in Texas.
