I hope you had a great 4th of July weekend! This year, 4th of July looked a little bit different due to the pandemic, but I am so grateful that we can still celebrate our great nation.

As Americans, there is so much to celebrate and many blessings to be grateful for on its Independence.

America has faced many challenges in our history. This year has been a particularly difficult year for our country, but the strength of America has always been that we overcome our challenges and are resilient.

America is unique in its diversity and the things that unite us far outweigh what little divides us. We are one nation under God, we are one nation indivisible, and we are all Americans.

Below is an update on what our campaign has been up to over the past week.
39th District News
This past week the Buena Park Navigation Center, a 149-bed facility to provide transitional, temporary housing for the homeless, had it's Grand Opening! I am glad to see developments in our community that will aid and assist those in need.

I was grateful to join the Korean American Chamber of Commerce of Orange County in providing lunch to the Buena Park Police Department. Thank you to our law enforcement officers for all you do to keep our communities safe during these difficult times and being an outstanding example of the best of the law enforcement community.

Town Hall
For this week in our town hall series, I was joined by two of our community leaders from the unincorporated areas of Rowland Heights and Hacienda Heights. Denise Jackman, President of the Rowland Heights Community Coordinating Council and Martha House, Former Trustee of the Mt. San Antonio College Board and Treasurer of Meals on Wheels, City of Industry joined us to discuss the most important issues facing #CA39’s unincorporated areas during COVID-19.

Addressing the COVID-19 Pandemic
As we see COVID-19 cases on the rise throughout our state and country please do your part to slow the spread of the virus.

California is now requiring face masks in most public spaces. As we take steps towards recovery, let's continue to follow social distancing guidelines to stop the spread of COVID-19. Together we can keep our families, neighbors, and communities healthy and allow our economy to continue to open.
COVID-19 Resources
As we continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, there are resources and information that can be helpful in staying safe, helping others, and getting help during these hard times.

If you are in need of help from food pantries, soup kitchens, or need home delivered meals, you are not alone. See our COVID-19 resource page to find out more.

Volunteer on Our Campaign
During this national health crisis, we have made major changes to our campaign. Our volunteer efforts are now completely online. This allows volunteers to continue to help from their homes.

Thanks to our wonderful volunteer team, we have been able to make tens of thousands of calls to voters each week over the past few months.

If you are interested in volunteering, you can sign up by contacting Field Director Taylor Zanazzi at [email protected].
As always, I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Please stay safe and healthy. I look forward to continuing to work with you to fight for our community and the values that have made our country so exceptional. We couldn't be doing what we are doing without your support, your time, and your passion, so I want to thank you.
