If you’ve been watching the news, you already know, John. Last week the federal government shut down as funding negotiations skidded to a halt.
It is vital that we remind our elected officials what we the people need:
We need a spending plan that serves families, while lowering energy costs and preserving our health. We also need the Trump administration to stop shutting down the vital work of protecting the air we breathe and water we drink, which the administration has been doing since day one.
Tell the people who need to hear from you most. Urge your elected officials to support a budget that protects our health and the environment.

Our leaders in Congress can’t stand by while President Trump and his allies dismantle and shutter the programs that protect us from pollution and prepare the U.S. for climate-fueled disasters.
By firing scientists and blocking funding at agencies like EPA, NOAA and FEMA, this administration is dismantling the very protections that keep our air and water clean, our families safe from dangerous chemicals and our communities ready to face unnatural disasters.
That’s why we need to demand strong leadership from Congress to defend these agencies and the vital protection they provide for communities across the country. Raise your voice today and urge Congress to fully fund the agencies that push back against our biggest polluters and keep our families safe from health-harming pollution.
We’re in it together,
Wes Rogerson
