John,

The United States Postal Service is still in trouble.

Without immediate action, the USPS could run out of money in advance of an election we need to conduct largely via vote-by-mail.

And President Donald Trump is doing everything he can to get in the way. He’s holding hostage the $10 billion loan for the USPS that Congress has already approved, and he installed one of his top campaign fundraisers as the Postmaster General.

Congress has to act to stop Trump from destroying the USPS and sabotaging the 2020 election in the process.

If Trump gets his way, he’ll dismantle the USPS to boost private profits and sabotage our ability to conduct a free and fair election this fall.

Trump is already on the record saying he’s opposed to vote-by-mail because “for whatever reason, it doesn’t work out well for Republicans” despite the fact he votes by mail himself.

And now, if Congress fails to save the USPS, Trump might get his way as he’ll have a unique ability to get in the way of millions of Americans exercising their constitutional right to vote this fall.

Congress must act immediately to stop Trump from dismantling the Postal Service. Add your name to call on Congress to pass emergency legislation to protect and increase the functions and funding of the USPS right now >>

Thank you for raising your voice today to save the USPS and defend our ability to conduct free and fair elections.

Together, we’re going to beat Donald Trump and elect progressives up and down the ticket this fall.
