I want to be clear about what’s happening right now: the government shutdown we’re facing didn’t have to happen.

Our government is shut down not because of gridlock, but because extremists in power would rather see people suffer than stand up to their party bosses.

Republicans control the White House, the House, and the Senate. They had every chance to keep the government open. Instead, they chose to follow Donald Trump’s orders, tanking our economy, threatening paychecks, and driving up health care costs for millions of families. 

That’s not leadership. It’s cruelty, plain and simple.

I’m running for Congress because Colorado deserves better than politicians who use people’s pain as leverage. We deserve leaders who will put families first — not party bosses, not special interests, and definitely not Donald Trump’s ego.
