Team,

My friend and colleague, Congressman Raul Grijalva, passed away in March. He was a dedicated public servant, speaking out against injustices and how we must work for the people.

Two weeks ago, his daughter, Adelita, won the special election to replace him, but she still hasn’t been sworn in – solely because Mike Johnson refuses to do so. There’s no reason to wonder why: she would be the deciding vote to allow the full release of the Epstein files.

This is a violation of the Constitution and disrespect for the rule of law, team. The American people deserve transparency and accountability. The people of Arizona deserve to have their votes recognized. We must swear in Adelita Grijalva to the 119th Congress.

If you want this standoff to end immediately, add your name to demand that Speaker Mike Johnson and House Republicans swear in Adelita Grijalva!

Mike Johnson is on the record saying he would swear her in “early this week” – then promptly told the majority of Republicans not to return to Washington.

My Democratic colleagues once again brought up Adelita’s name for a vote, and once again, GOP leadership immediately closed the session.

This is blatant obstruction, solely to keep the Republican majority in the House illegitimately high, to block real bipartisan efforts towards justice for the American people. And we can stop it if we make our objections loud enough to force their hand.

So if you’re as fed up as I am, add your name to demand that the GOP swear in Adelita Grijalva immediately.

Thank you for your support for swift justice for the people of Arizona and for Adelita.
