The church can play a powerful role in saving lives. The church can be one of the first places a woman runs to when she finds out she has an unplanned pregnancy, instead of the last because of shame and guilt. The church can help her be brave and choose life — and brave moms raise brave kids! The church can reach out into the communities, and partner with pregnancy centers. They can invite these women and men into a spiritual family. |

You have people who, because of their own passions, they will accumulate for themselves teachers who suit those passions. They have these itching ears. I think the emphasis has to go back to the God of the Scriptures, you know? I think the Scriptures are repulsive if God is not explained as He is. Meaning, I think it would’ve been super helpful for me if, when people gave me the gospel, they actually told me about Jesus. |

As a pastor, we must remember to help the church keep pace with the Gospel. Let us point people to the Gospel as often as we are able to. Pastor Alistair Begg helps us to see, with a phrase he uses often, that as leaders in the local church we are to keep the plain things the main things, and the main things the plain things. |
