Six Democratic Senators just caved to Donald Trump.
We’re calling them out.
Here’s the recap: At a time when Trump is weaponizing the Department of
Justice, even personally ordering the indictment of his so-called
political enemy James Comey, six Democratic Senators — Durbin, Coons,
Klobuchar, Schiff, Welch, and Whitehouse — had the opportunity to oppose
Trump’s latest judicial nominees.
Instead, they capitulated and voted to advance two Trump nominees for
lifetime federal judgeships in Alabama. Both of these nominees have
refused to acknowledge the truth about the 2020 election or the
insurrection on January 6, instead pledging loyalty to Trump.
The hypocrisy is staggering. During the committee hearing, some Democrats
expressed righteous indignation about Comey’s indictment — only to turn
around and hand two Trump loyalists a path to lifetime power on our
courts.
We can’t let their vote go unanswered.
We’re starting by putting the pressure on Senators Durbin and Coons where
it will be felt most. Demand Justice launched a six-figure ad campaign
across Illinois and Delaware (their home states) to tell millions of
constituents that instead of fighting back, their Senators chose to cave
to Donald Trump.

Judiciary Committee votes don’t happen in a vacuum. Right now, Trump is
weaponizing the rule of law for political vengeance. Advancing Trump’s
nominees = enabling his corruption.
Let’s be clear: Any Trump nominee who cannot acknowledge the real outcome
of the 2020 election is compromised from the start.
If one of these judges were to oversee a political prosecution, who would
they serve: justice or Trump?
