Dear Neighbors,

Connecting with our community and residents is one of the most important and rewarding aspects of being your elected state representative. In an effort to have more ongoing, informal opportunities for us to sit down with one another and engage in conversation, I am launching a 'Coffee and Conversation' [ [link removed] ] meeting series hosted on Friday mornings in our district.

We will kick off this series on *Friday, October 10th, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM* at our renowned local *Flava Café*. No registration is needed.

This is a great opportunity to connect, share your thoughts, and discuss the issues that matter most to our district. I look forward to hearing directly from you. See you there!

*Proud to Deliver for Workers, Families, and Businesses Across Minnesota*

Yesterday, I proudly joined over 270 Minnesota businesses and Chambers of Commerce from across the state at the Paid Leave Employer Engagement Session in Saint Paul, hosted by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED).

This session was not just a briefing—it was a powerful collaboration between business leaders, workforce experts, and legislators to build a future where no Minnesotan is forced to choose between their job and their family.

Starting Jan. 1, 2026, Minnesota Paid Leave will provide payments and job protections to Minnesotans when they need time off for some of life's most important moments—like welcoming a child, recovering from a serious illness, or caring for a loved one.

As your State Representative and a member of the Workforce, Labor, and Economic Development Finance and Policy Committee, I’ve worked hard to pass bold legislation that puts people first:

✅ Statewide Paid Family & Medical Leave
✅ Guaranteed Earned Sick and Safe Time for All
✅ Higher Minimum Wages for Working Families
✅ Protected the Right to Unionize and Organize

Minnesota is leading with purpose. We’re showing the country that when government, workers, and businesses come together, we can build an economy rooted in fairness, dignity, and opportunity.

I'm proud of the work we've done together—and I’m just getting started.

Let’s keep moving Minnesota forward.
