I've seen a lot of shocking things as a former prosecutor and as Virginia's Attorney General.

But nothing prepared me for what Jay Jones said about Former Virginia Speaker Todd Gilbert and his young children in text messages.

Jay Jones fantasized about shooting Todd Gilbert twice in the head, choosing to execute him over Hitler and Pol Pot. Then he called Gilbert's young children "little fascists" who should be killed — in their weeping mother’s arms.

This isn't politics. This is the unhinged, sick fantasy of a dangerous person.

Every parent in Virginia should be horrified. Jones dreams about executing his political opponents and having their children killed.

No decent human being fantasizes about shooting their colleagues and killing their children. Jones is clearly disqualified — not just from being Attorney General, but from holding any office across Virginia or our country.

This deranged individual cannot be trusted with a badge, let alone the power to prosecute Virginians.
