I just went on MSNBC to make one thing clear: Democrats are standing tall against Donald Trump and his MAGA allies trying to hold our government hostage.
Trump and House Republicans are playing political games with people’s paychecks, our health care, and the economy. They’re threatening a government shutdown to gut the Affordable Care Act, slash funding for working families, and hand out favors to the wealthy.
Not on my watch.
Democrats are united — and we’re not backing down. I told MSNBC that we’ll keep fighting to protect affordable health care, defend our democracy, and end this reckless shutdown on our terms — not Trump’s.
But the GOP isn’t just threatening the government; they’re threatening progress itself. And the only way we stop them is by showing the full strength of our grassroots movement right now.
Every time Trump and his allies try to bully their way through Congress, I’ll be there — calling them out and standing up for you.
Let’s show them we’re not backing down.
