Chimney Swift; 2x Match active [double your impact]
The Saltmarsh Sparrow depends on tidal marshes along the Atlantic Coast, nesting just beyond the reach of the tides and migrating at night along the shoreline. But with rising seas inundating critical nesting areas, this beloved bird’s population is in trouble—making it one of the most threatened birds in North America. Sadly, they’re far from alone: This spiky-tailed sparrow is one of 42 “Red Alert Tipping Point” species who have perilously low populations and have experienced steep declining trends.

We're not going to sit by and let more birds disappear—and we know you won't either. Please start an annual donation ahead of World Migratory Bird Day to give birds the protection they need, not just today but tomorrow, too. Thanks to a group of generous donors, your first gift could be matched 2X up to $30,000.
4 Days to go
With more than 120 years of expertise under our wing and dedicated friends like you by our side, we can create a safer future for birds and people. And truth be told, we already are. By protecting marshes, grasslands, Arctic breeding grounds, and coastal stopover sites, we’re not only helping birds survive but also building climate resilience for people and communities. Our comprehensive approach—combining science, advocacy, habitat restoration, and education—creates a powerful force against future extinctions.

But there is more work to be done, so we’re asking for your steadfast support ahead of World Migratory Bird Day. Please be one of the caring bird lovers we’re counting on to start an annual donation right away—and when you do, your first gift could be matched, up to $30,000.

Sincerely,

National Audubon Society
