Hi John,

I hope you and your family had a great Independence Day weekend. It’s an important holiday to me -- one that always serves as a powerful reminder of my time in the military and the love I have for this country. I’m honored that because of all of you, I get to continue to serve my country now in Congress.

This team is what will help keep me in Congress. I’m proud to say you rose to the occasion last week and helped my campaign meet our huge quarterly reporting goal. This was our most important test yet, and thanks to you all we were able to meet our goal decisively before pivoting to the most critical months of the election.

John -- none of that could have been possible without you, so thank you for your generous support.

While I’m proud of our strong performance this quarter, how we got the job done gives me even greater pride.

We didn’t get here by relying on special interest groups and their outside cash, or by being dependent on a few extremely wealthy donors -- we got here because people like you all across this district chipped in whatever they could.

Nothing gives me greater confidence going forward than that simple fact. We’re in for a tough fight over the next few months, but with your help, this grassroots, people-first campaign will come out on top in November.
