In an unprecedented move, Donald Trump ordered 400 members of the Texas National Guard to deploy to other states — including Oregon and Illinois.

And within minutes, Greg Abbott said yes.

He didn’t ask questions. He didn’t consult anyone. He just “fully authorized” Trump’s orders — even though Texas has no business sending its Guard to other states.

This isn’t leadership — it’s authoritarianism.

Let’s call it what it is. Greg Abbott isn’t defending Texas — he’s auditioning for Trump’s approval. He’s turning our state into a political weapon for Trump’s extremist agenda.

He’s forgotten who he works for.

While Texans struggle with crumbling schools, rising costs, and failing infrastructure, Abbott is busy playing toy soldier for Trump — deploying troops, breaking laws, and putting politics over people.

We have one job now: stand up to Abbott’s authoritarian power grab and defend the rule of law — not just in Texas, but across the country.
