Republicans like Zach Nunn would rather force a shutdown than protect access to healthcare for everyday Iowans. This is just more proof that Washington is broken and Zach Nunn isn’t willing to fix it.

As Iowa’s House Democratic Leader, I’ve been through plenty of budget negotiations.

And the difference between my approach and Zach Nunn’s is simple: I’ll never give up and shut down the government just because I don’t get my way.
