But do you know who is still getting paid? Congress.
That says everything about what’s broken in Washington. While the men and women who serve our country shoulder the burden, politicians protect their own paychecks.
This isn’t about party — it’s about principle. If Congress can’t keep the government open, then they shouldn’t get paid until our troops do.
Because leadership means sharing the sacrifice — not avoiding it. And leadership means solving problems, not creating them and expecting others to clean up your mess for you.
When I’m elected to Congress, I’ll fight for a simple rule: no pay for politicians until our Service Members are paid.
John, are you as fed up with the hypocrisy and the double standards of Washington politicians as I am? I believe we can’t keep electing the same type of person and expecting different results. We need change, and we need fresh voices and proven leaders with a record of putting people first.
